Lift Gate Actuator Rod Replacement

Lift Gate Actuator Rod Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure: 
Remove the left side trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/o E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/o E61) .
1 Liftgate Actuator Rod
Tip: 
  • Release the lock tabs on the actuator rod.
  • Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.
