Preliminary Procedures Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Extended Wheelbase w/o E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/E61) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter - Left (Standard Wheelbase w/o E61) . Remove the liftgate close actuator drive unit. Refer to Liftgate Close Actuator Drive Unit Replacement . Remove the liftgate close actuator motor control module, if required. Refer to Liftgate Close Actuator Motor Control Module Replacement .
1	Liftgate Close Actuator Bracket Bolts (Qty: 3) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
