Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside

Preliminary Procedures Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV) or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) . Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
1	Rear Side Door Outside Handle Bolts (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 7 N.m (62 lb in) Tip: Release the outside handle rod from the lock retainer clip. Release the lock cylinder rod from the door lock. Remove to outside door handle with the rod attached.
2	Rear Side Door Outside Handle Tip: Transfer the handle rod to the new handle.

Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV) or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade) .
Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Bolts (Qty: 2)

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten: 7 N.m (62 lb in)

Tip:

Release the outside handle rod from the lock retainer clip.
Release the lock cylinder rod from the door lock.
Remove to outside door handle with the rod attached.

Rear Side Door Outside Handle
Tip: Transfer the handle rod to the new handle.
