Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 GMC Yukon XL, 2012 GMC Yukon, 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2012 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the transmission oil cooler lines (1) to the vehicle.
- Install the right shock rear mounting bolt on the lower control arm. Tighten the bolt to 50 (37 lb ft).
- Install the right differential carrier mounting nuts and washers. Tighten the mounting nuts to 100 (75 lb ft).
- Install the cooling lines to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
- Install the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet pipe (1) to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
- Install the transmission fluid cooler outlet pipe (2) to the auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
- Install the front upper fascia support bracket. Refer to Front Upper Fascia Support Bracket Replacement .
- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Yukon) , Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Escalade) , Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Tahoe) , Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Avalanche) , Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Z71) .
CAUTION:
Do not use air powered tools in order to disassemble or assemble any vehicle component. Bolt torques are vital to diagnosis. You can detect bolt torques only when using hand tools. Improper bolt torques can contribute to vehicle repair problems.
