Removal Procedure

NOTE:
Perform the Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn whenever the crankshaft position sensor is removed or replaced.
- Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Replacement .
- Working through the wheel well opening, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
- Clean the area around the CKP sensor before removal in order to avoid debris from entering the engine.
- Remove the CKP sensor bolt.
- Remove the CKP sensor.
