Rear Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement

Preliminary Procedures
- Lower the rear side door window to the fully down position.
- Tape off the lower window frame to prevent damage to the door.
- Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Wheelbase)

- Remove the rear door window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
- Remove the inside door frame garnish molding.

Rear Side Door Window Reveal Molding Procedure
- Install the reveal molding into the window opening by inserting the bottom edge of the molding through the belt opening of the door. Allow the integral fasteners and clips to clear the door frame.
- Use care not to scratch the paint.
- Fully seat the molding onto the belt flange between the corners. Ensure that the lower attachment clips are aligned the holes in the door frame.
- Ensure all clips around the window flange are fully seated.
TIP:
Vehicles without full dropping glass, to aid in removing the B pillar portion of the reveal molding, rock the door glass slightly rearward to clear glass from glass run channel. |
