Mode Valve Actuator Replacement

Mode Valve Actuator Replacement

Callout Component Name
CAUTION:

In order to avoid actuator damage, DO NOT apply power to the actuator when it is not installed in the HVAC module.

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Except Cadillac) , Knee Bolster Replacement (Cadillac) .
  2. Remove the air outlet duct - floor LH. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mode actuator.
1 Mode Actuator Screw (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
1.6 N.m (14 lb in)
2 Mode Actuator
Procedure 
Re-calibrate the mode actuator. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
NOTE:
  • Mode actuator cam is now accessible.
  • Apply Dielectric Nyogel 760G grease to the electrical connector. Dispense grease on the connector to cover all holes in the connector.
