WARNING: Refer to Brake Dust Warning . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the park brake shoes. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (2500 Series) , Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (1500 Series) . Disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling . Disconnect the park brake cable from the actuator.

Preliminary Procedures

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the park brake shoes. Refer to Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (2500 Series) , Parking Brake Shoe Replacement (1500 Series) .
Disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling .
Disconnect the park brake cable from the actuator.
