Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2011 GMC Yukon XL, 2011 GMC Yukon, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove the catalytic converter, as required. Refer to one of the following:
- Catalytic Converter Replacement (with Exhaust Clamp)
- Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement
Remove the muffler assembly, as required. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LC9, LMG, LZ1, L20) , Exhaust Muffler Replacement (L96) .
Remove the left front floor panel exhaust heat shield nuts and heat shield, as required.

If the vehicle is a Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon Denali, or a Escalade, remove the exhaust heat shield nuts and heat shields, as required.

If the vehicle is a Suburban, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT or a Avalanche, remove the exhaust heat shield nuts and heat shields, as required.
