Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2011 GMC Yukon XL, 2011 GMC Yukon, 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:

The replacement A/C and heater pipes are shipped in two sections and spliced together upon installation. Refer to Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioning Pipe Repair .

  1. Install the auxiliary heater pipes to the vehicle.
  2. Fig 1: Auxiliary Heater Pipes, Clamps And Heater/A/C Tubes Retaining Nut And Stud

  3. Install the auxiliary heater pipes (2) to the clamps (5).
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the heater/A/C tubes retaining nut (4) to the stud (1) at the frame (6) and tighten to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  7. Install the auxiliary heater pipes (2, 3) to the auxiliary heater core.
  8. Install the right front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side .
  9. Install the right rear wheelhouse panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement (RPO X88 Chevrolet, RPO O88 GMC) , Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement (RPO HP2) .
  10. Install the vehicle right assist step. Refer to Assist Step Replacement (GMC Denali XL) , Assist Step Replacement (Chevrolet HP2) , Assist Step Replacement (Power BRS) , Assist Step Replacement (Z71) .

  12. Install the auxiliary heater pipes (1, 2) to the heater inlet and outlet tees (3, 4).

  14. Connect the outlet heater hose to the heater core.
  15. Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
  16. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
