Preliminary Procedure: Remove the liftgate handle. Refer to Liftgate Outside Handle Replacement (Except Avalanche and EXT Escalade) .
1	Liftgate Release Switch Screws (Qty: 4) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 2 N.m (18 lb in)
2	Liftgate Release Switch Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.
