Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the center air outlet assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Bezel Replacement .
  2. Remove the right air outlet assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Bezel Replacement - Right Side .

  3. Reach through the center air outlet opening within the instrument panel and depress the lock button (1) on the left instrument panel assist handle retainer.
  4. Reach through the right air outlet opening within the instrument panel and depress the lock button (2) on the right instrument panel assist handle retainer.
  5. While holding both lock buttons in, have an assistant pull the instrument panel assist handle (3) straight out of the dash.
