Installation Procedure

  1. From the driver side compartment area, route the cable through the access hole in the cowl (2).
  2. Attach the retainer clips that retain the hood release cable to the cowl.
  3. Connect the cable end (1) to the hood release latch.
  4. Set the hood release handle in place.
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the fastener retaining handle to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (7 lb ft).

  6. Install the driver side kick up panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
