Clutch Pilot Bearing Removal

Special Tools
- J 2619-01: Slide Hammer
- J 23907: Slide Hammer with Bearing Adapter
- J 23907-1: Slide Hammer
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Remove the clutch pilot bearing using the J 23907:
adapter (1) and J 23907-1:
slide hammer (2).
- Install the legs of the J 23907: adapter (1) into the clutch pilot bearing.
- Rotate the shaft of the tool until the legs of the tool are snug and contacting the I.D. surface of the bearing.
- Install the J 23907-1: slide hammer (2) to the J 23907: adapter (1).
- Remove the bearing from the rear of the crankshaft.
- Remove the special tools from the bearing.
- Discard the bearing.

J 23907-1:
slide hammer was part of the J 23907:
slide hammer with bearing adapter set. The adapter is still available as J 23907:
adapter.
