CMBS Indicator Does Not Go Off
- DTCs check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting - Refer to:
How to Troubleshoot the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) (2016 2017 2018) or
How to Troubleshoot the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) (2019 2020 2021) .
NO
Go to step 2.
- VSA system DTCs check
-1. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting - Refer to:
VSA System DTC Troubleshooting Index or
VSA System DTC Troubleshooting Index (2019 2020 2021) .
NO
Go to step 3.
- PGM-FI system DTCs check
-1. Check for PGM-FI system DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting - Refer to:
Fuel and Emissions Systems DTC Troubleshooting Index (KA/KC) (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020) or
Fuel and Emissions Systems DTC Troubleshooting Index (2021) .
NO
Go to step 4.
- Gauge control module operation check
-1. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

Gauges Control Module Self-Diagnostic Function (2019 2020 2021)
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Replace the Gauge Control Module - Removal and Installation .
- CMBS OFF switch check
-1. Test the CMBS OFF switch.
Is the switch OK?
YES
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the multipurpose camera unit 20P connector. If they are OK, replace the Multipurpose Camera Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO
Replace the CMBS OFF switch - Refer to:
CMBS OFF Switch Removal and Installation, Test (2016 2017 2018) or
CMBS OFF Switch Removal and Installation, Test (2019 2020 2021) .
