DTC : P0564-15 (2016 2017 2018)

DTC P0564-15  : ACC/LKAS Switch Signal Circuit Open

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information - Go to: How to Troubleshoot the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) (2016 2017 2018) .

  1. Problem verification

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    Clear DTCs

    - 3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for at least 5 seconds.

    - 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC P0564-15 indicated?

    YES 

    The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to intermittent failures troubleshooting - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) (2016 2017 2018) . If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the Freeze data/on-board snapshot.

  2. Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 1

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

    ACC combination switch 12P connector

    - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 ACC combination switch 12P connector No. 3
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there about 5 V?

    YES 

    The DISTANCE SW wire is not open. Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Go to step 8.

  3. LKAS switch internal circuit check

    - 1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 ACC combination switch 12P connector No. 3
    Test point 2 ACC combination switch 12P connector No. 4

    Is there about 5 V?

    YES 

    Replace the ACC Combination Switch (2016 2017 2018_ .

    NO 

    Go to step 4.

  4. Open wire check (DISTANCE SW GND line) 1

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the ACC combination switch 12P connector.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 ACC combination switch 12P connector No. 4
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Repair an open in the wire between the ACC combination switch and the ACC combination switch or replace the ACC Combination Switch (2016 20017 2018) .

    NO 

    Go to step 5.

  5. Open wire check (CRUISE SW GND line) 2

    - 1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector C (20P).

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Cable reel connector C (20P) No. 6
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Repair an open in the wire between the ACC combination switch and the cable reel.

    NO 

    Go to step 6.

  6. Open wire check (CRUISE SW GND line) 3

    - 1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector A (20P).

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 15
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Replace the Cable Reel .

    NO 

    Go to step 7.

  7. Open wire check (DISTANCE SW GND line)

    - 1. Disconnect the following connector.

    Cable reel connector A (20P)
    Gauge control module 32P connector

    - 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the gauge control module connector A (32P).

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Cable reel connector A (20P) : disconnected
    Gauge control module 32P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 20 - Refer to:

    Test point 2 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 15

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The DISTANCE SW GND wire is not open. Replace the Gauge Control Module .

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the cable reel.

  8. Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 2

    - 1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector C (20P).

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Cable reel connector C (20P) No. 5
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there about 5 V?

    YES 

    Repair an open in the wire between the ACC combination switch and the cable reel or replace the ACC Combination Switch (2016 2017 2018) .

    NO 

    Go to step 9.

  9. Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 3

    - 1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the cable reel connector A (20P).

    Test condition Vehicle ON mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 16
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there about 5 V?

    YES 

    Replace the Cable Reel .

    NO 

    Go to step 10.

  10. Open wire check (DISTANCE SW line) 4

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

    Cable reel connector A (20P)
    Gauge control module 32P connector

    - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 without disconnecting the gauge control module connector A (32P).

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    ACC combination switch 12P connector: disconnected
    Cable reel connector A (20P) : disconnected
    Gauge control module 32P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Gauge control module 32P connector No. 3 - Refer to:
    Gauge Control Module Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2016 2017 2018)
    Test point 2 Cable reel connector A (20P) No. 16

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The DISTANCE SW wire is not open. Replace the Gauge Control Module .

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the cable reel.
