Problem verification 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

- 2. Insert an audio disc to the CD player unit.

Is the audio disc inserted correctly?

YES

The failure is not duplicated, go to step 2.

NO

The failure is duplicated, go to step 6.
Problem verification 2
-1. Check if the display changes to the CD mode and the audio disc is played.

Does the display change to the CD mode, and is the audio disc played?

YES

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

NO: No sound

Go to step 12.

NO: Does not change to CD mode

Go to step 3.

NO: Audio disc does not play

Go To: Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - Audio disc does not play .

Shorted wire check (GA BUS+, GA BUS- lines)

-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

- 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

Audio unit connector D (12P)

CD player unit 16P connector

Tuner unit connector A (12P)

- 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
	Audio unit connector D (12P) disconnected
	CD player unit 16P connector: disconnected
	Tuner unit connector A (12P) disconnected

There is a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the CD player unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.

The GA BUS+ and the GA BUS- wires are not shorted. Go to step 4.

-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The GA BUS+ wire and the GA BUS- wire are not shorted. Go to step 5.

There is an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the CD player unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.

Determine possible failure area (GA +B and GND lines, others)

-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

- 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

Tuner unit connector A (12P)

CD player unit 16P connector

- 3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
	Tuner unit connector A (12P) disconnected
	CD player unit 16P connector: disconnected

Is there battery voltage?

YES

Go to step 9.

Is there battery voltage?

YES

Repair an open in the wire between the audio unit and the CD player unit.

Go to step 8.

Open wire check (GA +B line)

-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

	CD player unit 16P connector: disconnected

YES

Repair an open in the wire between the audio unit and the CD player unit.

- 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

YES

Repair an open in the wire between the audio unit and the CD player unit.

Replace the CD player unit - Refer to: CD Player Unit Removal and Installation (2016 2017 2018) .

Audio unit check

-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

- 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Open wire check (GA AUDIO lines)

-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

- 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

Tuner unit connector A (12P)

- 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
