Removal and Installation

NOTE: 

• How to read the torque specifications .
• SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   NOTE:  Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Front Seat Belt Upper Anchor Bolt - Remove

   1. Remove the front seat belt upper anchor bolt cover (A).

   2. Remove the front seat belt upper anchor (A).

3. B-pillar Lower Trim - Remove
4. Outer Lap Tensioner Bolt - Remove

   1. Disconnect the connector (A), and then remove the outer lap pretensioner (B).

5. Front Seat Belt Assembly- Remove

   1. Disconnect the connector (A). 2. For some models: Disconnect the connector (B). 3. Remove the lower anchor bolt, and then remove the front seat belt assembly (C).

6. All Removed Parts - Install

   1. Install the parts reverse order of removal. NOTE:  Assemble the bushing (A), the collars (B), and the toothed lock washer (C) on the bolt (D) as shown. Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the upper anchor bolt before reinstallation.
