Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Removal and Installation(KA/KC): Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

NOTE: 

• Removal of the front passenger's weight sensors must be done according to Precautions and Procedures .
• Manual seat: The front passenger's weight sensor is part of the seat frame and must be replaced as an assembly.
• Power seat: The front passenger's weight sensor is part of the seat rail and must be replaced as an assembly.

Manual Seat 

1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   NOTE:  Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Front Seat Frame (Passenger's side) - Remove
3. Front Passenger's Seat Frame/Front Passenger's Weight Sensors - Remove

   Power Seat 

4. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   NOTE:  Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

5. Front Seat Frame (Passenger's side) - Remove
6. Front Passenger's Seat Rail/Front Passenger's Weight Sensors - Remove
