Cable Reel Removal and Installation: Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:  Before doing this procedure, set the front wheels in the straight ahead position.

1. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect

   NOTE:  Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Steering Wheel - Remove
3. Column Cover - Remove
4. Cable Reel - Remove

   1. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the cable reel. 2. For some models: Disconnect the connector (B) from the cable reel. 3. Release the lock tabs (C), then remove the cable reel (D).
