DTC (Electric servo brake)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then to the ON mode.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame P057D-00 Brake Pedal Stroke Sensor Circuit High Voltage P1E24-00 Brake Pedal Stroke Redundant Sensor Circuit High Voltage Is DTC P057D-00 or P1E24-00 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting . If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- Shorted wire check (ESB_SVCC line to BPS, BPSR lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode with driver's door open.
-2. Wait for 3 minutes.
NOTE: Do not close the driver's door.
-3. Disconnect the following connectors.
Brake pedal stroke sensor 4P connector Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector -4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Brake pedal stroke sensor 4P connector: disconnected Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector: disconnected Test circuit 1 Test point 1 Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector No. 12 Test point 2 Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector No. 8 Test circuit 2 Test point 1 Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector No. 12 Test point 2 Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector No. 11 Is there 1 MΩ or more?
YES
The BPS, BPSR, and ESB_SVCC wires is OK. Go to step 3.
NO
Repair a short in the wire between electric servo brake control unit and the brake pedal stroke sensor.
- Open wire check (ESV_SGND line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Brake pedal stroke sensor 4P connector: disconnected Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector No. 9 Test point 2 Brake pedal stroke sensor 4P connector (female terminals) No. 4: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
The ESV_SGND wire is OK. Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the electric servo brake control unit and the brake pedal stroke sensor.
- Brake pedal stroke sensor check
-1. Substitute a known-good brake pedal .
-2. Reconnect the following connectors.
Brake pedal stroke sensor 4P connector Electric servo brake control unit 22P connector -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then to the ON mode.
-6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame P057D-00 Brake Pedal Stroke Sensor Circuit High Voltage P1E24-00 Brake Pedal Stroke Redundant Sensor Circuit High Voltage Is P057D-00 or P1E24-00 indicated?
YES
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the electric servo brake control unit 22P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the electric servo brake control unit/pedal feel simulator .
