DTC U0298 (Battery Condition Monitor Module)

DTC U0298  : DC-DC Converter Communication Error

NOTE: 

• Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
• If any of the DTCs listed below are indicated at the same time as DTC U0298, troubleshoot those DTCs first, then recheck for U0298.

DTC (Electric Powertrain)

1. DTC check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   -2. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame

   DTC (Electric Powertrain)

   Are DTC U0298 and any other DTCs indicated at the same time?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Update the battery condition monitor module , then recheck. If DTC U0298 is still indicated, replace the battery condition monitor module.
