DTC (Electric Powertrain)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame P0A2D Traction Motor Temperature Sensor Circuit High Is DTC P0A2D indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- Determine possible failure area (TMOT line, SGTEMP/SGTMOT line)
-1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame P0713 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High P0A2D Traction Motor Temperature Sensor Circuit High P0CF1 PCU Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit High Are DTC P0713, P0A2D, and P0CF1 indicated at the same time?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (TMOT line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure .
-3. Disconnect the following connectors.
PCU 33P connector Motor temperature sensor 6P connector -4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode PCU 33P connector: disconnected Motor temperature sensor 6P connector: disconnected Test point 1 PCU 33P connector No. 10 Test point 2 Motor temperature sensor 6P connector (female terminals) No. 3: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open in the TMOT wire between the traction motor temperature sensor and the PCU.
- Traction motor temperature sensor check
-1. At the sensor side, check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode PCU 33P connector: disconnected Motor temperature sensor 6P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Motor temperature sensor 6P connector (male terminals) No. 2: Test point 2 Motor temperature sensor 6P connector (male terminals) No. 3: Is there continuity?
YES
NO
Faulty traction motor temperature sensor. Replace the transmission (e-CVT) assembly .
- Open wire check (SGTEMP/SGTMOT line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure .
-3. Disconnect the following connectors.
PCU 33P connector Motor temperature sensor 6P connector -4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode PCU 33P connector: disconnected Motor temperature sensor 6P connector: disconnected Test point 1 PCU 33P connector No. 17 Test point 2 Motor temperature sensor 6P connector (female terminals) No. 2: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 6.
NO
Repair an open in the SGTEMP/SGTMOT wire between the traction motor temperature sensor and the PCU.
- Traction motor temperature sensor check
-1. At the sensor side, check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode PCU 33P connector: disconnected Motor temperature sensor 6P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Motor temperature sensor 6P connector (male terminals) No. 2: Test point 2 Motor temperature sensor 6P connector (male terminals) No. 3: Is there continuity?
YES
NO
Faulty traction motor temperature sensor. Replace the transmission (e-CVT) assembly .
