DTC (Electric Powertrain)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, and wait 30 seconds.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- Identification resistance check 1
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Remove the service plug and the IPU cover .
-3. Disconnect the following connector.
Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) -4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 5 Test point 2 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 6 Is there about 24 kΩ?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Go to step 4.
- Identification resistance check 2
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 11 Test point 2 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 6 Is there about 24 kΩ?
YES
Replace the battery condition monitor module .
NO
Go to step 8.
- Open wire check (MODID1 line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Battery module 1 28P connector -2. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 1 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 5 Test point 2 Battery module 1 28P connector (male terminals) No. 2: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Repair an open in the MODID1 wire between the battery condition monitor module (F5) and battery module 1.
- Open wire check (MODID1-M line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Battery module 2 28P connector -2. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 1 28P connector: disconnected Battery module 2 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery module 1 28P connector (male terminals) No. 4: Test point 2 Battery module 2 28P connector (male terminals) No. 2: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 6.
NO
Repair an open in the MODID1-M wire between battery module 1 and battery module 2.
- Shorted wire check (MODID1 line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 1 28P connector: disconnected Battery module 2 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 5 Test point 2 Body ground (G701) Is there 1 MΩ or more?
YES
Go to step 7.
NO
Repair a short in the MODID1 wire between the battery condition monitor module (F5) and battery module 1.
- Open wire check (SGTB/MODID1-SG line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 1 28P connector: disconnected Battery module 2 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 6 Test point 2 Battery module 2 28P connector (male terminals) No. 4: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
There is a failure in the battery module identification resistor. Replace the battery pack .
NO
Repair an open in the SGTB/MODID1-SG wire between the battery condition monitor module (F6) and battery module 2.
- Open wire check (MODID2 line)
-1. Remove the IPU and the IPU case .
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
Battery module 3 28P connector -3. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 3 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 11 Test point 2 Battery module 3 28P connector (male terminals) No. 2: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 9.
NO
Repair an open in the MODID2 wire between the battery condition monitor module (F11) and battery module 3.
- Open wire check (MODID2-M line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
Battery module 4 28P connector -2. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 3 28P connector: disconnected Battery module 4 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery module 3 28P connector (male terminals) No. 4: Test point 2 Battery module 4 28P connector (male terminals) No. 2: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 10.
NO
Repair an open in the MODID2-M wire between battery module 3 and battery module 4.
- Shorted wire check (MODID2 line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 3 28P connector: disconnected Battery module 4 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 11 Test point 2 Body ground (G701) Is there 1 MΩ or more?
YES
Go to step 11.
NO
Repair a short in the MODID2 wire between the battery condition monitor module (F11) and battery module 3.
- Open wire check (SGTB/MODID2-SG line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected Battery module 3 28P connector: disconnected Battery module 4 28P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 6 Test point 2 Battery module 4 28P connector (male terminals) No. 4: Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
There is a failure in the battery module identification resistor. Replace the battery pack .
NO
Repair an open in the SGTB/MODID2-SG wire between the battery condition monitor module (F6) and battery module 4.
