DTC B1032 : CDS (Collision detection signal) signal error
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Body Control Module)
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.
-3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.
-4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1032 CDS (Collision detection signal) signal error Is DTC B1032 indicated?
YES: with power tailgate
Go to step 2.
YES: without power tailgate
Go to step 3.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Open wire check (B-CAN_H line, B-CAN_L line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Body control module connector B (36P)
Gauge control module connector A (32P)-3. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Body control module connector B (36P): disconnected
Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnectedCircuit name Test points 1 Test points 2 Connector Terminal Connector Terminal B-CAN_H Body control module connector B (36P) No. 20 Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 30 B-CAN_L No. 21 No. 31 Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
The B-CAN_H wire and the B-CAN_L wire are OK. Replace the gauge control module
NO
Repair an open in the B-CAN_H wire and/or the B-CAN_L wire.
- Open wire check (CDS line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure , and wait for at least 3 minutes.
-3. Disconnect the following connectors.
Body control module connector D (40P)SRS unit connector A (39P) -4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Body control module connector D (40P): disconnected
SRS unit connector A (39P): disconnectedTest point 1 Body control module connector D (40P) No. 34 Test point 2 SRS unit connector A (39P) No. 1 Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
- Shorted wire check (CDS line)
-1. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Body control module connector D (40P): disconnected
SRS unit connector A (39P): disconnectedTest point 1 SRS unit connector A (39P) No. 1 Test point 2 Body ground Is there 1.0 MΩ or more?
YES
The CDS wire is OK. Go to step 5.
NO
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
- Body control module check
-1. Reconnect the following connector.
Body control module connector D (40P) -2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure .
-3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode
SRS unit connector A (39P): disconnectedTest point 1 Body control module connector D (40P) No. 34 Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
NO
