Removal and Installation

NOTE:

- The electric powertrain components are located in this area. The electric powertrain is a high-voltage system. You must be familiar with the electric powertrain system before working on or around it. Make sure you have read the electric powertrain service precautions before doing repairs or service.
- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
1. Open the driver's door, and wait 3 minutes or more. NOTE: Do not turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure .
- Brake Fluid - Remove
1. Remove the brake fluid from the reservoir tank with a syringe. - Intake Air Resonator - Remove
- Air Intake Tube A/B - Remove
- A/C Line Bracket Mounting Bolt - Remove
1. Remove the A/C line bracket mounting bolt (A). - Tandem Motor Cylinder - Remove
1. Disconnect the suction hose (A) from the reservoir union (B). 2. Disconnect the brake lines (C) from the tandem motor cylinder (D).
3. Disconnect the connector (E) by pushing the lock (F), and pulling down on the lever (G).
4. Loosen the tandem motor cylinder mounting bolts (A). NOTE: Do not remove the bolts.
5. Remove the tandem motor cylinder mounting bolt (B).
6. Remove the tandem motor cylinder (C) with the bracket.
- Tandem Motor Cylinder Bracket - Remove
- All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal. - Brake System - Bleed
