DTC U0100-00, U0101-00, U0126-00, U0129-00, U0151-00, U0155-00 (VSA Control Unit (Without CAN Gateway)) (2017 2018 2019)

DTC U0100-00  : CAN Communication Failure with ECM/ISU DTC U0101-00  : CAN Communication Failure with PCM/TCM DTC U0126-00  : CAN Communication Failure with Absolute Steering Wheel Angle Sensor DTC U0129-00  : CAN Communication Failure with AHB/ESB/EBB DTC U0151-00  : CAN Communication Failure with SRS DTC U0155-00  : CAN Communication Failure with Meter

NOTE: 

DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame
U0100-00 CAN Communication Failure with ECM/ISU    
U0101-00 CAN Communication Failure with PCM/TCM    
U0126-00 CAN Communication Failure with Absolute Steering Wheel Angle Sensor    
U0129-00 CAN Communication Failure with AHB/ESB/EBB    
U0151-00 CAN Communication Failure with SRS    
U0155-00 CAN Communication Failure with Meter    

DTC (VSA)

  1. DTC check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    -3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then start the engine.

    -4. Test-drive the vehicle at 6 mph (10 km/h) or more.

    NOTE:  Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

    -5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    U0100-00 CAN Communication Failure with ECM/ISU    
    U0101-00 CAN Communication Failure with PCM/TCM    
    U0126-00 CAN Communication Failure with Absolute Steering Wheel Angle Sensor    
    U0129-00 CAN Communication Failure with AHB/ESB/EBB    
    U0151-00 CAN Communication Failure with SRS    
    U0155-00 CAN Communication Failure with Meter    

    Is DTC indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting . If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.

  2. Open wire check (F-CAN H, F-CAN L lines)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode with driver's door open.

    -2. Wait for 3 minutes.

    NOTE:  Do not close the driver's door.

    -3. Disconnect the following connector.

    VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector

    -4. Disconnect the following connectors according to the detected DTC.

    U0100-00 PCM connector A (51P)
    U0101-00 PCM connector A (51P)
    U0126-00 EPS control unit connector B (6P)
    U0129-00 Electric brake booster 26P connector
    U0151-00 SRS unit connector A (39P)
    U0155-00 Gauge control module connector A (32P)

    NOTE:  Jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute when disconnecting the PCM connector.

    -5. Check for continuity between the receiving control unit and the transmitting control unit according to the detected DTC.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
      VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector: disconnected
      Transmitting control unit connector (s) for indicated DTCs: disconnected

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The F-CAN H and F-CAN L wires are OK. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. According to the detected DTC on the following table, replace the correspond control unit.

    NO 

    Repair an open in the wire between the receiving control unit and the transmitting control unit.
