LaneWatch camera image does not come on (Switches to the black screen)
- LaneWatch system check (audio/navigation system diagnostic mode)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
Go into the system diagnostic mode, and select the Detail Information and Setting.
-3. Select the Functional Setup icon.
-4. Select the LaneWatch icon.
Is "Connection OK" indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Check for hard error codes (audio/navigation DTCs).
- Determine possible failure area (LWC CAM VID/LWC V DA AS line, LWC CAM VGND/LWC VGND DA AS line, LaneWatch camera, others)
-1. Start the engine.
-2. Check the B-CAN status.
Is "B-CAN OK" indicated?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Go to step 5.
- Open wire check (LWC CAM VID/LWC V DA AS line)
-1. Stop the engine.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
LaneWatch camera 6P connector Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector B (24P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode LaneWatch camera 6P connector: disconnected Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector B (24P): disconnected Test point 1 LaneWatch camera 6P connector (female terminals) No. 4: Test point 2 Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector B (24P) No. 20 Is there continuity?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open in the LWC CAM VID/LWC V DA AS wire between the LaneWatch camera and the audio unit or the audio-navigation unit.
- Open wire check (LWC CAM VGND/LWC VGND DA AS line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode LaneWatch camera 6P connector: disconnected Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector B (24P): disconnected Test point 1 LaneWatch camera 6P connector (female terminals) No. 5: Test point 2 Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector B (24P) No. 21 Is there continuity?
YES
Replace the LaneWatch camera .
NO
Repair an open in the LWC CAM VGND/LWC VGND DA AS wire between the LaneWatch camera and the audio unit or the audio-navigation unit.
- Body electrical DTC check
-1. Stop the engine.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting .
NO
Go to step 6.
- Open wire check (B-CAN_H, B-CAN_L line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Body control module connector B (36P) Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) -3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Body control module connector B (36P): disconnected Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector A (24P): disconnected Test point 1 Body control module connector B (36P) No. 20 Test point 2 Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 14 Test point 1 Body control module connector B (36P) No. 21 Test point 2 Audio unit or audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 24 Is there continuity?
YES
Check for poor connection or loose terminal at the audio unit or the audio-navigation unit. If the symptom does not go away, replace the audio unit or the audio-navigation unit .
NO
Repair an open in the B-CAN_H wire or the B-CAN_L wire between the body control module and the audio unit or the audio-navigation unit.
