TCM Reset (CVT): Procedure

TCM Reset 

  1. HDS - Connect
  2. TCM - Reset
    1. Select the A/T SYSTEM with the HDS.

    2. Reset the TCM with the HDS while the engine is stopped.

    3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 30 seconds.

    5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then disconnect the HDS from the DLC.

    Learning Value Reset 

  3. HDS - Connect
  4. Learning Value - Reset
    NOTE: 
    • Make sure to reset the learned value of CVT system when replacing hydraulically-controlled parts in order not to cause any damage the transmission.
    • This procedure is not required, if the TCM, and the transmission fluid pump, the valve body assembly, the transmission, and/or the CVT driven pulley pressure sensor are replaced simultaneously.

    1. Select the A/T SYSTEM with the HDS.

    2. Select the CVT OIL Pressure Learning Value Reset in the Adjustment Menu with the HDS, and follow the screen prompts.

    3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then disconnect the HDS from the DLC.
