Roof Opening Panel Shield: Installation

If installing existing shield and pretension was lost, reset pretension and hold until positioned in brackets.
- 2.NOTE: If a new frame or drive cables were installed, the cables must be aligned as in steps 4 and 5 from removal.
On both sides. With the help of an assistant, align the cables and position the roof opening panel shield.
- 3.NOTE: If using original threaded retainers, clean the thread locking adhesive from threads, then apply new thread locking adhesive.
On both sides.

With the help of an assistant, install the roof opening panel shield and the retainers.Material
: Threadlock 262 / TA-26 (WSK-M2G351-A6)
Torque
: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Remove and discard the guide.

- 4.NOTE: A roof opening panel shield tension retaining pin is positioned on a new roof opening panel shield assembly.
If new roof opening panel shield is installed. Remove and discard the roof opening panel shield tension retaining pin.
- 5.NOTE: The cable alignment pins, tension retaining pin and any tape or string must be removed before moving the shade assembly or damage may result.
While turning the motor in each direction, an assistant must observe and verify that the roof opening panel shield moves forward and backward on both sides to make sure the cable alignment is correct before moving the roof opening panel shield with the switch. If not, repeat procedure from installation step 1.
