Roof Opening Panel Anti-Pinch Switch: Installation

    Clean the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch mounting area.

      Starting at this point, position and press outward to seat.

      Remove seal tape and starting at this point, apply pressure to secure the seal to the frame.

    Install the retainers, route the wiring harness through the roof opening panel and attach the harness retainer.

    Route the wiring harness using the reference marks made during removal.

    Connect the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch electrical connector.

    NOTE: Read both sub steps so they can be performed together.

    1. 1.

      Use the global close feature to close the roof opening panel. Global close is not available if the initialization has been lost. If global close does not operate the roof opening panel may need to be initialized, or  the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch may be kinked or shorted. REFER to: Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization  - Vehicles With: Panoramic Roof Opening Panel.

    1. 2.

      Press down on the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch as it travels closed during global close. If the roof opening panel reverses direction during global close, the roof opening panel anti-pinch switch is functional and properly installed.

    Install the parcel shelf. REFER to: Parcel Shelf .
