DTC C1C22-62 : Neutral Sensor Failure

DTCs (VSA)
- DTC check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 4. Test-drive the vehicle at 19 mph (30 km/h) or more for 60 seconds or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
- 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC U0029-00 CAN Communication Failure (Bus OFF Ch 1) U0101-00 CAN Communication Failure with PCM/TCM C1C22-62 Neutral Sensor Failure Is DTC C1C22-62 indicated?
YES
If DTC C1C22-62 is only indicated, go to step 2.
YES
If DTC U0029-00 or U0101-00 are also indicated, go to U0101-00 - Refer to:
U0029-00 or
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer To Intermittent Failures Troubleshooting .
- A/T system parameter check
-1. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit A/T N Switch Does the parameter change when shifting the transmission to N position/mode, or shifting from the N position/mode to a different gear position other than reverse?
YES
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the VSA modulator-control unit 38P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the VSA Modulator-Control Unit. Refer to:
