Road Departure Mitigation - LDW Indicator Does Not Go Off
- DTCs check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting - Refer to:
How to Troubleshoot the Road Departure Mitigation (2016 2017 2018) or
How to Troubleshoot the Road Departure Mitigation (2019 2020 2021) .
NO
Go to step 2.
- VSA system DTCs check
-1. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting How to Troubleshoot the VSA System .
NO
Go to step 3.
- EPS system DTCs check
-1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC Freeze Frame Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting How to Troubleshoot the EPS .
NO
Go to step 4.
- Gauge control module operation check
-1. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function. Refer to:
Gauges Self-Diagnostic Function (2016 2017 2018) or
Gauges Self-Diagnostic Function (2019 2020 2021) .
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
Replace the Gauge Control Module - Removal and Installation .
- RDM OFF switch check
-1. Test the RDM OFF switch. Refer to:
RDM Switch - Test (2016 2017 2018) or
CMBS OFF Switch - Test (2019 2020 2021) .
Is the switch OK?
YES
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the multipurpose camera unit 20P connector. If they are OK, replace the Multipurpose Camera Unit - Removal & Installation .
NO
Replace the RDM OFF switch - Refer to:
