- F-CAN circuit resistance check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
PCM connector A (51P) - 4. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.

NOTE: Before disconnecting the SRS unit connector, do the 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.

- 2. Connect the HDS to the DLC. How to Connect the HDS
- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
Gauge control module 32P connector - 4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Gauge Control Module - Removal and Installation .
NO
Reconnect the gauge control module 32P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 20.

Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the VSA Modulator-Control Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO
Reconnect the VSA modulator-control unit 38P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 21.
- Steering angle sensor check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Steering angle sensor 4P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Steering Angle Sensor - Removal and Installation .
NO (with navigation)
Reconnect the steering angle sensor 4P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 23.
NO (with display audio)
Reconnect the steering angle sensor 4P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 22.
- audio unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio unit connector C (24P) - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs [Display Audio Type (8-inch Screen)] .
NO
Reconnect audio unit connector C (24P) with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 24.
- audio-navigation unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio-navigation unit connector C (24P) - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the AUDIO-NAVIGATION Unit - Removal and Installation (2016 2017 2018) .
NO
Reconnect audio-navigation unit connector C (24P) with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 24.
- EPS control unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
EPS control unit connector B (8P) - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Steering Column/EPS Control Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO (2WD)
Reconnect EPS control unit connector B (8P) with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 26.
NO (AWD)
Reconnect EPS control unit connector B (8P) with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 25.
- i-VTM control unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
i-VTM control unit 24P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the i-VTM Control Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO
Reconnect i-VTM control unit 24P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 26.
- Engine mount control unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Engine mount control unit 16P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Engine Mount Control Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO
Reconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 27.
- ANC/active sound control unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
ANC/active sound control unit 20P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the ANC/Active Sound Control Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO (without ACC)
Reconnect the ANC/active sound control unit 20P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 29.
NO (with ACC)
Reconnect the ANC/active sound control unit 20P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 28.
- Multipurpose camera unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Multipurpose camera unit 20P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Multipurpose Camera Unit - Removal and Installation .
NO
Reconnect the multipurpose camera unit 20P connector with vehicle in OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 29.
- SRS unit check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Do the 12 Volt Battery Terminal Disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.
- 3. Disconnect the following connector.
SRS unit connector A (39P) - 4. Do the 12 Volt Battery Terminal Reconnection procedure.
- 5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
YES
Replace the Replace the SRS unit. Refer to:
SRS Unit Removal and Installation (2016) or
SRS Unit Removal and Installation (2017 2018 2019 2020 2021) .
NO
- Substitute a known-good Keyless Access/TPMS Control Unit - Removal and Installation , then recheck. If the HDS identifies the vehicle and the keyless access/TPMS control unit was substituted, replace the original Keyless Access/TPMS Control Unit - Removal and Installation. .
- Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting or substitute a known-good PCM - Go to: PCM (6-Speed A/T), ('16-'18 9-Speed A/T) - Removal and Installation .
