Removal after a collision where the front passenger's airbag deployed

  1. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the glove box (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Disconnect the front passenger's airbag inflator 4P connector (A).

  4. Remove the mounting bolts (B).
  5. Remove the dashboard upper panel (A) and the front passenger's airbag (B) assembly from the dashboard (C) (see COLUMN BLIND REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
