Installation after a collision where the front passenger's airbag deployed
- Insert the hooks (A) into the front passenger's airbag housing holes of the new dashboard upper panel.
NOTE:
- Make sure there are no objects between the airbag and the dashboard upper panel.
- Make sure the airbag is fully seated, and make sure the dashboard upper panel is not deformed or damaged after the airbag is in place.
- Make sure the hooks are set properly.

- Insert the other hooks (B) into the front passenger's airbag housing holes of the dashboard upper panel.
- Install the dashboard upper panel (A) and the front passenger's airbag (B) assembly to the dashboard (C) (see
COLUMN BLIND REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).

- Install the new mounting bolts (A), then tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

- Connect the front passenger's airbag inflator 4P connector (B).
- Reinstall the glove box (see
PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Do the 12 volt battery terminal reconnection procedure (see
12 VOLT BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION
).
- Clear any DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS
).
- After installing the front passenger's airbag, confirm proper system operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
