Audio unit button does not work (without navigation)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see 12 VOLT BATTERY TEST ).
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- In order to troubleshoot the main power switch, go to AUDIO UNIT POWER SWITCH WILL NOT TURN ON TROUBLESHOOTING .
- Go to the audio button, knob, and audio remote switch detection mode in the audio Self-Diagnostic Function (see HOW TO CHECK THE AUDIO SYSTEM CONDITION
). Operate all items in the appropriate switch list.
Switch list
1-6, EJECT, FM/AM, CD, AUX, TITLE, Music/Speaker, SCAN, RPT, RDM/A.SEL, VOL PUSH SELECT, SEEK, PLAY, RETURN, PWR
Are all the items in the appropriate switch list detected?
YES -Operation is normal.
NO -Substitute a known-good center panel (see step 9 ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original center panel (see step 9 ). If the symptom is still present, replace the audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
