Circuit Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Isuzu Rodeo and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Output Driver Modules (ODMs) are used by PCM to control many current driven devices by applying ground to device being turned on. Each ODM can control up to 11 different outputs. They have the capability to diagnose each output individually. If an improper voltage level has been detected at an ODM output, DTC P1640 will be set.
Conditions for setting DTC:
- Ignition on for at least 2.5 seconds.
- PCM detects an open circuit condition and a shorted to voltage condition on the same circuit at the same time.
