Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Perform On-Board Diagnostic II OBD-II system check. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION article. Go to next step.
  2. Start engine and allow it to idle. Using scan tool, select DTC INFO. If scan tool indicates that DTC P1625 has failed, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate that DTC P1625 has failed, clear DTCs.
  3. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTC P1625. Start engine and allow it to idle. On scan tool, select DTC INFO for specified DTC. If scan tool indicates that DTC P1625 has failed, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate that DTC P1625 has failed, clear DTCs.
  4. Inspect vehicle for the installation of any aftermarket components, such as transceiver stereos or alarm systems. If they are incorrectly installed, PCM may be influenced by emitted EMI (electromagnetic interference). Reposition components away from PCM. Retest system.
