Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Isuzu Rodeo and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check for the following condition(s) and repair as necessary:

Check for faulty connections or damaged harness. Ensure harness is not routed too close to high voltage wires, such as spark plug cables. If connections and harness appear okay, observe TP display on scan tool while moving all related harnesses and connectors. A change in scan tool display may indicate a fault. Check for MAP signal out of range or faulty MAP sensor by comparing scan tool values of a known-good similar vehicle. If DTC cannot be duplicated, FAILURE RECORDS data can be used in determining vehicle mileage since DTC was last set. If it is determined that DTC occurs intermittently, performing DTC P1121: TP SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT HIGH VOLTAGE  or DTC P1122: TP SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT LOW VOLTAGE  may isolate cause of fault.
