Action Taken

DERM turns on INFLATABLE RESTRAINT indicator light.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .

This test determines whether fault is in steering column or deployment loop.
Checks for a short to voltage in circuit No. 347.
Determines if fault is short to voltage on circuit No. 348.
Checks for a short to voltage in FORCE LOW circuit.
Checks for proper resistance of FORCE LOW resistor in resistor module.
Checks whether steering column fault is due to short to voltage in inflator module wiring or in SIR coil assembly wiring.
