Brake Pedal: Removal
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the steering column shroud lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD LOWER PANEL ")
- Remove the knee airbag.
(Refer to Restraint - "KNEE AIRBAG (KAB) MODULE ")
- Disconnect the ICU connector.
- Remove the ICU (A) after loosening the bolt and nut.
- Disconnect the connectors (A) from the back side of the ICU
- Disconnect the stop lamp switch (A) and the pedal stroke sensor connector (B).
- Remove the snap pin (A) and clevis pin (B).
- Loosen the brake pedal mounting bolt and nuts (A) and then remove the brake pedal.
Tightening torque:
16.7 - 25.5 N.m (1.7 - 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 - 18.8 lb-ft)
