Test Condition for PCSV Close Stuck

  1. Confirm that the installation arrow mark on PCSV goes towards engine
  2. Disconnect hose at the PCSV coming from the fuel tank
  3. Connect GDS and select "PCSV" parameter on "current data".
  4. Start the engine.
  5. Check for vacuum or no vacuum through the port at the PCSV in accordance with PCSV operating condition - Check the amount of vacuum, by hand, through the PCSV when PCSV is ON (Open)

    Vacuum (Full amount of vacuum flow) No Vacuum
  6. Is the vacuum condition at the port normal?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute with a known-good PCSV and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCSV and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
