Test Condition for PCSV Close Stuck

- Confirm that the installation arrow mark on PCSV goes towards engine
- Disconnect hose at the PCSV coming from the fuel tank
- Connect GDS and select "PCSV" parameter on "current data".
- Start the engine.
- Check for vacuum or no vacuum through the port at the PCSV in accordance with PCSV operating condition - Check the amount of vacuum, by hand, through the PCSV when PCSV is ON (Open)
PCSV ON PCSV OFF Vacuum (Full amount of vacuum flow) No Vacuum - Is the vacuum condition at the port normal?
YES
- Go to "TEST CONDITION FOR CHECKING CLOGGING OF VAPOR LINE " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good PCSV and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace PCSV and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
