Check short to ground in CAN BUS

  1. IG "OFF". Disconnect ECM, smart junction box (gateway) connector.
  2. Check resistance between P-CAN HIGH terminal of ECM Connector and chassis ground. (CAN HIGH line)
  3. Check resistance between P-CAN LOW terminal of ECM Connector and chassis ground. (CAN LOW line)

    Specification:  Infinite

  4. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    NO
