Installation Procedure
Front Trim Finish Compartment (2) - Install
- Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [10x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connector and harness retainers as needed.
Front Trim Finish Compartment Closeout Cap - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]
- Front Trim Finish Compartment Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Cargo Tie Down Loop (2) - Install [4x]
- If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
- Close the 4 cargo tie down loop access covers.
Front Compartment Side Sight Shield - Left Side Front and Right Side Front (1) - Install [2x]
Front Compartment Side Sight Shield - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Retainer - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [6x]
- Turn the 6 left side and right side front compartment sight shield retainers (1) one quarter turn clockwise to engage.
Front Compartment Front Sight Shield (3) - Install
- Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
- Install the 4 front compartment front sight shield clips (1).
