Installation Procedure
Maneuver the left rear brake pipe (1) into the vehicle.
Rear Brake Pipe Clip (1) - Engage [5x]
Remove the plug from the rear brake hose inlet.
- Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Rear Brake Pipe Clip (1) - Engage [9x]
- Rear Suspension Cradle - Install - Rear Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AWD) , or Rear Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (FWD)
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle - Install - Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AWD) , or Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (FWD) , or Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Removal and Installation (AT4)
Brake Pipe (1) @ Front Brake Pipe Clip (2) - Engage
Remove the cap from the brake master cylinder outlet.
- Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- NOTE:
Some components not shown for graphic clarity.
Radiator Surge Tank (2) - Install
- Radiator Surge Tank Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (4) - Install
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Nut (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (5) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Turbocharger Outlet Duct Front Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Fresh Air Tube (1) @ Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Oil Filler Cap (1) - Remove
Intake Manifold Cover (1) - Install
- Oil Filler Cap - Install
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure: Control Module References
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
- Check for brake system leaks.
