Endgate Adjustment
Loosen both endgate hinge bracket bolts ((1) on each side.
- Install shims (2) on both sides if needed.
- Hand tighten bolts (1) on both sides.
- Close endgate and adjust for fit and flushness, up-down and fore-aft.
- Open endgate and tighten both endgate hinge bracket bolts (1). Fastener Specifications
Open and close the endgate (1) and check for flushness (b).
- Open the endgate (1) and loosen left and right side pickup box endgate striker about 1/3 to 1/2 turn, enough for striker movement without losing the nut.
- Close the endgate (1) and using hand pressure at (a) to adjust strikers, balancing side to side to make sure strikers contact at the same time and don't cause a binding and minimizing the non-flush look by dividing it equally between sides.
- Open endgate (1) carefully tighten left and right side pickup box endgate strikers. Fastener Specifications
- Open and close the endgate (1) to recheck the flushness is correct.
