Installation Procedure

- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness - Install - Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Harness Replacement
- NOTE:
- Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant
- Keep the RTV bead path on the outward edge of the t-joints to ensure proper sealant coverage.
Apply the appropriate RTV sealant bead (2, 3) to the areas on the engine front cover (1) as shown in the illustration. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead (2) of RTV sealant to the engine front cover (1).
- Apply a 5 mm (0.197 in) bead (3) of RTV sealant to the engine front cover (1).
- Apply a bead of RTV sealant around the M12 Bolt Holes (4).
NOTE:No RTV sealant should be visible in the M12 bolt holes upon final assembly of front cover to engine.
Engine Front Cover Locating Pin (1) - Install [2x]
- Engine Front Cover (2) - Install - using the EN-46109 Guide Pins
- Oil Pump Flow Control Solenoid Valve Electrical Connector (3) - Install

CAUTION:Refer to Fastener Caution .
Engine Front Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten in sequence [2x] 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Engine Front Cover Bolt (2) - Install and tighten in sequence [16x] 10 N.m (89 lb in)
- Engine Front Cover Bolt (3) - Install and tighten in sequence to 60 N.m (44 lb ft
- Engine Front Cover Bolt (4) - Install and tighten in sequence to 60 N.m (44 lb ft
- Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve-Bank 2 - Install - Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve Replacement - Bank 2
- Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve-Bank 1 - Install - Camshaft Position Actuator Locating Pin Control Valve Replacement - Bank 1
- Oil Pan - Install - Oil Pan Replacement (AWD) , or Oil Pan Replacement (FWD)
- Crankshaft Balancer - Install - Crankshaft Balancer Replacement
Camshaft Cover - Right Side (2) - Install - Camshaft Cover Replacement - Right Side
Camshaft Cover - Left Side (2) - Install - Camshaft Cover Replacement - Left Side
Water Pump (1) - Install - Water Pump Replacement (LGX)
Water Pump Inlet Pipe (2) - Install - Water Pump Inlet Pipe Replacement (LGX)
- Engine - Install - Engine Replacement (FWD) , or Engine Replacement (AWD)
