Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel tie bar. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement
- Remove the brake pedal position sensor. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
Remove the brake pedal pushrod bolt (1) and bushing (2).
- Disconnect the brake pedal pushrod from the brake pedal.
Remove the left side power brake booster nuts (1).
Remove the right side power brake booster nuts (1).
- From inside the engine compartment, carefully pull the power brake booster and master cylinder assembly away from the dash panel.
- Secure the power brake booster and master cylinder assembly with heavy mechanics wire.
Remove the brake pedal assembly upper nut (1).
- Maneuver the brake pedal assembly from under the instrument panel and remove the pedal assembly from the vehicle.
