Installation Procedure

    NOTE:
    • Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil prior to installing the sensor. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
    • Use wire or suitable device to route the sensor connector through the oil pan opening.
    • If reinstalling the sensor, replace the O-ring (2) around the level sensor.

    Install the engine oil level sensor (1).

    NOTE:

    Pull the sensor connector (2) through the connector opening and ensure that it is properly seated.

    Install the engine oil level sensor C-clip (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the engine oil level sensor fasteners (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the oil level sensor electrical connector (1).
